Sticks & sandblocks are fun!
But the egg shakers are her favorite. We have them at the house in all colors & she loves them.
She really seems to be picking up rhythm easily -- here's the teacher complimenting her on the "little beat":

We also made a trek to the Southwest Regional Library. All the board books are located in bins along the wall. Little Miss REALLY enjoyed crawling along & pulling books out of the bins. We selected a few to check out & take home, and then I had to clean up our mess!
We also had our two month check up at Dr. Norman's new office. It is a beautiful building! Charlotte continues to do well and is seeing as best as we can hope. He mentioned that we are likely looking at her next surgery within the next 6 months. The next surgery will be to implant the intraocular lens. If surgery is successful, Charlotte will not have to wear the contact lens anymore. She will likely be fit with glasses to fine tune the prescription. He is hopeful by the time she is in college, she will just have to wear reading glasses! We still have a long road ahead of us, and unfortunately the patching is getting harder each day. She is such a different (and difficult) child with the patch on. I was really hoping Dr. Norman would decrease our patching time (what a great bday gift that would be), but no dice. He did acknowledge that the patching time is likely less than 50% anyway due to her noncompliance.
I opened presents after dinner. I won't let Major anywhere near my gifts...this is Major opening one of Charlotte's gifts for her:

Happy Belated Birthday, A! Loved the videos of Charlotte and Major. Very cute.
ReplyDeleteTell the truth-- was that present smothered with peanut butter or is Major always that helpful???
