We survived our first roadtrip for the 4th of July. Charlotte was a trooper but we learned that travel with baby is quite different and difficult. Case in point...our 4 Runner was loaded to the gills with the cooler attached to the trailer hitch for a 2 night stint. Here's a pic outside the vet's office where we dropped off Major for his stint in the doggie hotel...yes my child is unfortunately perched atop cases of beer. The trip went pretty well. We had a diaper situation to deal with in Stephenville on the way down. Wilson changed her while I ate and it wasn't a pretty diaper change. The Hard 8 BBQ joint really needs a changing table because my child does not like the cold tile by the sink. On the way back, Charlotte screamed for about 10 miles, refusing to sleep. Wilson stopped the car and walked her around outside for awhile to calm her down.
On our trip, we played traditional 4th of July family games -- washers, horseshoes, etc. The Tanners have a warm indoor pool which Charlotte loved!
Happy 4th of July from the Woods family!

I love the loaded down car! So many things JB and I have to look forward to HAHA.
