Home Sweet Home

We touched down at DFW around 7 pm last night. The flight home was much more difficult. Charlotte wouldn't take a nap, and Wilson spent a good 30 minutes with her screaming in the tiny airport bathroom. We will definitely try to schedule our flights in the morning from now on to try to accommodate her nap times. With this trip, we had no choice in flight times -- there's only one daily flight to & from Liberia, Costa Rica.

The last few days of our trip were heavenly. Beautiful weather, hanging on the beach and by the pool, good food. Charlotte and the sand and waves made some progress in their friendship. By Thursday, she would stick her hands in the wet sand and massage it. She would sit in the shallow waves and let them rush over her. She would not wear the sunglasses I ordered for her. Thankfully we didn't have any issues with the contact lens and the sand or water.

The last night in Costa Rica we went to a restaurant -- Seasons by Shlomy. The food was fantastic & the service divine. Shlomy Koren is an Israeli chef that moved to Costa Rica from Israel. He was so welcoming to us & especially Charlotte. They had the most awesome baby booster seat from Israel -- I wish I had written the name down. It folds flat -- would be awesome for traveling. The waitress gave Charlotte a special spoon and she proceeded to bang on the table with it. The chef stopped by to make sure we were doing okay. He asked what Charlotte ate. I said, "She's fine, she eats baby food." And he replied, "Oh, like pureed carrots." Sure enough...when my plate of delicious mahi mahi arrived from the kitchen, there was a serving of chef prepared pureed carrots on it. Talk about awesome service!!!

I will try to post some pictures in the next few days. My house currently looks like a bomb exploded.
