Monkeying Around

Charlotte is back to her playful self after several days of cutting molars. Not a fun few days for anyone involved. The pain kept her up at night and was back as soon as pain medication wore off. Cutting regular teeth was nothing compared to cutting molars. The back right is fully in, the top right is mostly in, but the left area just feels tender. I'm sure those 2 will rear their ugly heads soon enough. In the span of a month, she has cut approximately 9 teeth (it's hard to count because she won't let us get a good look or feel). Yikes! And then we have 4 more molars around age 2 -- ick!

She has become quite fond of pulling the big pillows off the hearth and putting her head down. It's such a sweet sight. I have ordered a toddler pillow and pillowcase for her to use at night since she seems to really enjoy pillows.

Major continues to tolerate Char., and she thinks the world of that little mutt. Wilson and I are going to build him a dog house outside if he continues to bark through the house in the middle of the night! Major tries to get Charlotte to chase him -- she's just a little too slow for his taste since she's still just crawling. She watches him run in circles and emits a good strong belly laugh. Precious.

She will take 1 step, but then she laughs & falls to the ground! She'll be running around soon enough.

Vocabulary update: continuing to grow exponentially! She says the names of her classmates and teachers, says "ajor" (Major) & tells him"esy" (easy), says "happy", "wow", "ball" & "whoa". Her teachers have taught her "ilson" (wilson) & "isha" (alicia). It is so fun to see her little brain in action.

Patching news....a little boy in C's class has decided that it is fun to try to remove Charlotte's eye patch. AAAHHH! Frustration aside, when this little boy gets scolded for doing this, C laughs hysterically! What a toot!
