Our little one is becoming such a big girl!
Highlights from the month:
* Hiding things has become Charlotte's favorite pasttime. I have found Pat the Bunny in a kitchen drawer, her sippy cup in her book bin, and Wilson suspects the TV remote control is at the bottom of the toy bin. There's no telling where the glasses will end up.
* Still loves to read! We go to the Fort Worth library every few weeks and exchange books. Thanks to Tory for the inspiration! She's currently very into the book with baby signs in it. She knows the signs for more, diaper, dog, & sleepy. We're working on "all done".
* Her vocabulary continues to grow every day. She knows the names of all her teachers & classmates and can say "wa wa" when she's thirsty. Wilson taught her to say "pizza" in a very exaggerated tone. A few weeks ago, we were at Target on a Monday morning and she kept yelling "DADA PIIIIIZZZZAAA" very loudly. It worked -- I took her to meet Wilson for lunch and she got to eat pizza in downtown Fort Worth. Patrizio's is our new fave -- $3.50 kids meals with an 8-slice pizza and cup of ice cream. No doubt that her favorite food is pizza. She's also still a big fan of spinach but is getting much pickier on her veggies. Most of them end up on the floor for Major. She loves fruits, so thankfully she's getting plenty of vitamins from them. Other new words include: socks, shoes, ball, go, diapie, sassy, peach, baby. Video below.
* Her eye is healing very well, and Dr. Norman has been really happy with her progress since surgery. We pray that we are done with surgery! Cook's is a great place, but I can live without seeing the inside of the hospital again.
* We survived the glasses fitting. Wilson took her on Friday morning and then brought her by my office. She is leaving the glasses alone more than we expected. What an answer to prayer! The frames are currently brown because the pink was on backorder. The pink ones should be in soon, and then the frames will be super cute & girly!

* Mommy, daddy, & Charlotte all survived mommy's first night away from Charlotte. I went to Dallas with some good church friends. We stayed at the W, had massages, enjoyed an awesome dinner, lounged, shopped, and just relished getting away. Blog post to come.
Those specs are already so cute, that I can't wait to see the pink ones!
ReplyDeleteGlad you love the library as much as we do... it is a great way to escape the heat and get some floortime in at the same time!
